DIALECTRIC STRENGHT TEST

Dielectric strength is a measure of the capacity of a material to withstand a difference in applied voltage. Basically, the materials, tools, and work equipment exposed to differences in electric potential must be tested regularly to comply with the safety standards. Due to the fact that the purpose is to protect the safety of the people during the operations, the dielectric strength tests are performed at voltages much higher than those experienced during normal operations, which requires the generation of high test voltages with highly sensitive equipment to detect undesirable discharges.
